HAMLET
The Lion KingDisney's The Lion King serves as a great, nostalgic, soft-serving of Hamlet. A very kid-friendly adaptation, there are a variety of key differences between Shakespeare's play and the movie that can easily be recognized and separated. This option would be best used as an educational buffer between days of learning or as a homework assignment.

Sons of AnarchySons of Anarchy is a popular TV series that shares many similarities with Hamlet. Swapping the kingdom of Denmark with the Sons of Anarchy biker gang, the show is a more intense and violent retelling of the play than The Lion King that can serve as more of a reference point than something to be watched in class -- similar to how Breaking Bad can be used.

THE SIMPSONS - EPISODE 283: SECTION 3
This section (Do the Bard, Man) of a three-part episode of The Simpsons (Tales from the Public Domain) is a short and sweet adaptation of Hamlet with each part being played by the well-known characters of this classic American cartoon show. Shorter and more comical than The Lion King, but less violent and questionable than Sons of Anarchy, this option would work best wedged in-between sections of a lesson.
